Heyy, thanks for visiting my personal website! 

My name is Bima, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and graduate from the University of Alberta Mechanical Engineering Program.

I was born in the tropical Southeast Asian islands of Indonesia and spent my early years living in the province of Java and the capital, Jakarta. When I was 6, I moved to Christchurch, New Zealand where I completed primary school. It was there where have many fond memories and close friends growing up. As hard as it was back then, at the age of 10, I had to move back to Indonesia with my family to continue my junior high school education. It wasn’t easy to transition at first due to the very different education system and my lack of practice with the Bahasa (Indonesian) language, but, thankfully, I managed to adapt with the help of good friends and family along with some very capable mentors.

In 2014, my family and I moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I didn’t enjoy living in the Middle East at first due to the conflicting culture and social norms to what I have been accustomed to, but after the first year, once I was familiar with the local language, I learnt to adapt and appreciate the local values. In 2017, I graduated from high school in Saudi Arabia and then decided to come to Canada to pursue my undergraduate degree. Now, looking back on my life journey as I’m starting my professional career, no matter how hard it seemed to continuously have to adapt to different environments and leave close friends and family, it has shaped me into the person I am today, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
